Who "we" are

Tahoe Bark Co is run by Thomas Beach, a sole proprietor in Reno, Nevada. "We" and "us" mean that operation. "The site" means tahoebarkco.com and everything on it.

Buying from us

The shop is open, and joining the email list does not reserve a product or commit you to buying anything.

Checkout runs on this site through Stripe, our payment processor. Your card details go to Stripe, never to us. Placing an order is an offer to buy; we accept it when we dispatch your items, and we may decline or refund an order before dispatch, for example if a listing carried an obvious pricing error, in which case you pay nothing or receive a full refund.

Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax is calculated at checkout where we are required to collect it. Ownership of and risk in the items pass to you on delivery. Cancellations, replacements and refunds work as described in our shipping & returns policy, which is part of these terms for every order.

Discount codes

Confirming your address for the email list sends one code for 10% off one order. Each inbox receives one code, so addresses that reach the same inbox share it: Gmail addresses that differ only by dots or a + tag, for example. A code works once and expires at 11:59 pm Pacific time on the 30th day after it is issued; the email and the confirmation page give the date. It comes off the price of the items, not tax. One discount applies per order, so a code cannot be combined with another discount. Codes have no cash value. Enter a code at checkout, on the payment page.

A review sends one code for 10% off one order, as described under Reviews. It follows the same rules, except that it expires at 11:59 pm Pacific time on the 60th day after it is issued; the email and the review page give the date.

Reviews

After an order is delivered, we email the address used at checkout one review link for each item in it. Only those links can write a review, so every review on the site is from someone who bought that item. The same link edits the review for 30 days after it is sent.

Every review earns one code for 10% off one order, one code per order, whatever the rating and whatever the review says. Product pages say so next to the reviews.

Reviews go live as written. We never edit a review, and we never hold or remove one for its rating or for criticism. A review is held for a check, and may be removed, only when it contains:

• a link or web address;
• an email address, a phone number or other personal details;
• profanity, slurs, threats or harassment;
• spam or advertising; or
• something that is not about the item or the order.

A review with a link, an email address, a phone number or a word on our list of profanity and slurs is held automatically and checked by hand. The rest of the list is applied by hand when we see it. Every hold, publication and removal is recorded with its reason. We may post one public reply under a review.

By sending a review you agree that it can be shown on tahoebarkco.com with the display name you chose. To have your reviews deleted, email hello@tahoebarkco.com.

The designs are ours

The artwork, the wordmark, the badge, the product designs and the writing on this site are our original work and remain ours. You're welcome to share a link, send a screenshot to a friend, or save a design to a mood board.

You cannot reproduce our designs for sale. This includes printing them on your own goods, uploading them to a print-on-demand service, redrawing them close enough to count, or passing them off as your own. If you want permission for another use, email hello@tahoebarkco.com.

The site is as-is

We try to keep the site accurate. Products and prices may change.

Nevada law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If a dispute ever has to be settled somewhere, it gets settled in the courts of the State of Nevada.

Changes, and how to reach us
